Insofar as the blockchain technology is concerned, ripple seems have gained the trust of the corporate sectors as well as tech savvies. While many coins are developed on the already available open-source code of various coins, ripple advances in terms of technology with its own patented underlying technology based on Ripple protocol consensus algorithm (RPCA). 

Not only this makes the coin secure but also blazing fast when it comes to making transactions. While bitcoin transactions usually take few hours, ethereum a few minutes, the ripple transactions get the job done within a few seconds. Although the company claims of the transaction to completed in only 4 seconds, however, practically it took me slightly under a minute to complete the transaction.

Indeed a highly recommended coin! No wonder its holding on to its rank at 3rd spot for a long time—and not going down!
